Special instructions
for security
PIN code
PIN code is used for security to limit
access to the unit and to protect your
SIM card against unauthorised use. PIN
number is issued by your service
provider.
Important:
L
If you enter the incorrect PIN code 3
times, the SIM card is locked. Enter
the 8-digit PUK code to unlock. PUK
number is issued by your service
provider.

If you enter the incorrect PUK code 10
times, the SIM card is permanently
locked. The SIM card will need to be
replaced as all information stored will
be lost. Contact your service provider
for further information.
Setting the PIN code request
Your PIN code is requested when you:
– turn the base unit on after initially
inserting a PIN locked SIM card.
– turn the base unit on after turning this
feature on.
Once you enter PIN code, you don’t
need to re-enter it each time the base
unit is turned on.
The default setting is followed by the
SIM card setting.
