Cascade Configuration
In manual registration, the repeater can be registered to another repeater to create a
cascade configuration.
Note
• The following limitations apply when the KX-A407 (repeater) is connected to a
KX-TGP700 base unit.
–Narrowband mode:
Up to 3 KX-A407 units can be connected in a cascade configuration, and up to 8
calls can be made simultaneously.
–Wideband mode:
Up to 3 KX-A407 units can be connected in a cascade configuration, and up to 4
calls can be made simultaneously.
• It is necessary to check the ID of the repeater you are attempting to register to
(destination repeater) just before starting the manual registration.

Check the ID of the destination repeater.
Refer to "2.6 Repeater ID Confirmation".

Turn on the repeater you want to register by connecting the AC adaptor.
The STATUS indicator and the RSSI/ID indicator will turn amber for 2 seconds.

When the repeater is unregistered:
The STATUS indicator will flash red.
When the repeater is registered:
The repeater automatically enters Operation mode.

Repeater:
Unplug the AC adaptor, and remove the DIP switch cover on the back side of the
cabinet as shown below.

Repeater:
If the ID of the destination repeater is not 1, turn on the same number DIP switch bit
as the ID that matches the destination repeater.
