Caller ID Service

Caller ID service

This unit is Caller ID compatible. To use
Caller ID features, you must subscribe to
your telephone company’s Caller ID
service.

Using the base unit

When an outside call is being received,
the calling party’s telephone number will
be displayed.

Note:

L

If the unit cannot receive caller
information, “------------” is displayed
while the call is received.

L

If the unit is connected to a PBX system,
caller information may not be received
properly. Consult your PBX supplier.

L

The base unit is not displayed the caller
name even if you subscribe to the name
display service.

Using the cordless handset

When an outside call is being received,
the calling party’s telephone number will
be displayed.
Telephone numbers for the last 20 different
callers will be logged in the cordless
handset caller list, allowing you to return
missed calls. Caller information is stored
by the most recent call to the oldest.

When Caller ID information is received
and it matches a phone number stored
in the phonebook:
– The stored name will be displayed and

logged in the caller list.

(Private name

display)

– The cordless handset will use the

ringer tone you assigned to the group.

(Ringer ID)

If the unit cannot receive caller
information, the following will be
displayed:
“

area which does not provide Caller ID
service.

provider for details and availability of this
service in your area.

If the name display service is available in
your area, the display will show caller
names. For further information, please
contact your telephone company.

Ringer ID

This feature can help you identify who is
calling by using different ringers for
different groups stored in the cordless
handset phonebook.
You can assign a different ringer to each
phonebook group.
When a call is received from a caller stored
in the phonebook, the ringer is used after
Caller ID information is displayed.
If you select “

未设定

” (default), the unit will

use the ringer tone you set on page 21
when a call is received from that caller.

Usually the ringer will be changed from
the 2nd ring.
