Insert a new air filter unit (replacement air filter unit) in the projector.

There is no difference between the top and bottom of the air filter unit, but there is a difference between
the unit’s front and back.Align the protrusions of the air filter unit with the grooves in the projector.

Catch the frame of the air filter unit’s air outlet side on the two tabs at the back of the projector where the
air filter unit is stowed, and proceed with the installation following the instructions in step 3) in reverse.

Check that the air filter unit frame has latched onto the tabs where the air filter unit is stowed in the
projector.

Install the air filter cover on the projector and tighten the air filter cover fixing
screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

Insert the air filter cover by following the instructions for step 2) in the reverse order.

Be sure to install the air filter unit before turning on the projector.Using the projector without the air filter unit
will cause dirt and dust to accumulate inside the projector and could result in malfunction.

When the projector is used without the air filter unit installed, the filter indicator flashes red and a message
is displayed for about 30 seconds on the projection screen.Turn the projector off, and then attach the air
filter unit before turning the projector on again.

Dispose of the packaging materials properly after unpacking the product.

Do not disassemble the air filter unit.

The frequency with which the air filter unit needs to be changed depends significantly on the environment
where the projector is used.

For procedures on maintaining the air filter unit, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the projector.
