1-4. Software Version-up Procedure
[Notice] If DV Microprocessor’s software version is lower than “2.24”, a component replacement on the RF
P.C.Board is required that is described on the Supplement Service Manual (PAL model:
No.VSD9909SH651 / NTSC model: No.VSD9909SH064).
1-4-1. Version-up method for IC6201 (CAM_SYS P.C.Board)
1. Connect cable between USER BOARD connector on FLASH1 and Connector P6104 on CAM_SYS P.C.Board
through connection board.
2. Connect D-SUB 25-pin – 9-pin Cable (Straight type) between COM port (1 or 2) on PC and RS-232C connector
on FLASH 1.
3. Set SW201 [LOAD] on CAM_SYS P.C.Board to “ON”. (See figure 4-1)
4. Turn on the power of Camcorder and then boot up PC (with Windows
 ).
5. Copy all files of Data writing software (“Flash 1 for windows”: Included with FLASH 1) to hard drive on PC.
6. Install “Flash 1 for windows software” to PC.
7. Copy version-up data (xxxx.mot format file) to same directory of F1win.exe.
8. Boot up “F1win.exe (Flash 1 for windows apprication)” and then set parameters as shown in figure 4-2.
