The freesat Recorders require two satellite feeds from a satellite dish. If no dish
is available, one must be installed. Installation can be arranged at the point of
purchase and should always be offered by the retailer.
In some cases a dish will already be available. This can often be used so long as
the LNB (the device in the centre of the dish that collects the signals) has enough
outputs, and is correctly aligned. A dish installer can check this and adjust as
necessary.
How do I install my new recorder, and how do I
connect it to my television?

Although it is possible to connect the recorder to a television with a SCART
cable, playback will be of lower quality than HDMI, and will only be standard
definition. HD channels can be played back, but they will not be played back as
high definition.
