HDD
Working Spec. Indications Remarks
Spin-down Spin-
up The HDD shifts to Spin-up by
operations shown below.
*When the [HDD] key is pressed.
*When the playback operation
(PLAY, DIRECT NAVIGATOR, PLAY
LIST, MARKER) is performed.
*Whenthe recording operation
(REC, FLEXIBLE REC, PC
connection, DV AUTO REC) is
performed.
*When FUNCTION key is pressed.
*When the Tray is closed.
HDD LED is on for about 5
seconds until the HDD starts to
spin. Acceptation of
[REC] key in the
Spin-down
condition is
permitted.

OPEN/ CLOSE To open and close the disc tray.
INPUT SELECT To select the input source.
TV/ VIDEO To select TV or VIDEO.
Numeric buttons
(10key) To put each number for
selecting each function.
CANCEL To cancel maker.
SKIP (Reverse)/
(Forward) To skip chapter or marker
position for reverse of forward
direction.
STOP To stop the recording or
playback.
PAUSE To still for playback or pause
for recording.
