The VB-C500D fixed mini dome IP security camera
is designed for monitoring tight spaces, and features
an 82° wide angle Canon lens with 2.4x optical
zoom (with 4x digital zoom). The camera’s high-
sensitivity progressive-scan CCD ensures that
even moving objects appear clear and well-defined.
The VB-C500D’s bright lens combined with the
high-sensitivity CCD work together to provide
exceptional low-light performance for clear visibility
of camera subjects and surroundings. The Canon
NET
processor enables the VB-C500D to
perform simultaneous Motion-JPEG (M-JPEG) and MPEG-
4 video encoding and transmission in high-quality VGA (640
x 480) resolution at 30 frames per second. This combination
is ideal because M-JPEG offers higher image quality, while MPEG-4
offers lower bandwidth consumption and less storage space. Additional
flexibility is made possible in that the camera can distribute M-JPEG images
in three sizes simultaneously: 640 x 480, 320 x 240 and 160 x 120.
