5. Then turn the lever (7) in an anti clockwise direction until it stops and then you will be able to close the lid. You will
hear a click. .The lever lock will automatically return to the correct position
. This shows that the lid has been
closed completely.
6. Place one or two cups on the removable grid (9). Make sure that the cups are correctly aligned with the adjustable
coffee nozzle. While the machine is working you can adjust the coffee nozzle to suit the height of the cup.
7. Press the one cup button to make one cup of coffee, or if you prefer, press the two cup button to make two cups of
coffee. The blue light will light up once the desired amount of coffee has been made, and after some 40 seconds, the
blue light will switch off. You can then remove the cup of coffee to serve it or open the lid to change the coffee bag.
8. Do not open the lid immediately after the appliance has finished working if the blue light remains lit so as to avoid
burning yourself. The blue light shows that there is still pressure and steam in the coffee preparation area.
9. While it is working, if it becomes clear that the colour of the coffee is changing slightly, and the blue light is lit, press
the one cup or two cup button. The blue light will switch off and coffee preparation will cease. Then press the On/Off
switch to switch off the electricity supply and open the lid to change the coffee bag.
10. After changing the bag, if you want to continue making coffee, repeat step 7, outlined above.
11. If two blue lights start blinking while the appliance is working this indicates that there is insufficient water in the water
tank. You should stop the machine and refill the water tank.
12. Once the blue light goes out press the On/Off button once. Or if the blue light remains lit, press the one cup or two
cup button first, and then the On/Off button to switch off the power. Then unplug the plug from the wall socket if you
are not going to continue using the coffee maker.
13. The coffee maker is not equipped with a filter for loose coffee powder. You cannot use loose coffee powder to make
coffee in this machine.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
PRECAUTION: Ensure you unplug the appliance before cleaning it. To avoid electric shock, do not submerge the cable,
the plug or the unit in water or any other liquid. After every use, always make sure that first of all you remove the plug from
the wall socket, and wait until it cools down completely.
1. Remove the drip tray and the removable grid and empty it. Submerge them in warm water.
2. Clean all the removable parts in hot, soapy water every time you use the appliance.
3. Dispose of the used coffee bag. Clean the bag support and the funnel in hot, soapy water.
4. Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth to remove any stains.
5. Never use abrasive cleaning products to clean the exterior surface or the removable compartment.
6. Reassemble the parts to use the coffee maker next time.
7. Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquids.
REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS (LIMESTONE)
To ensure that the coffee maker functions correctly, you should descale it regularly to remove mineral deposits left behind
by the water. The extent of the deposits will depend on the area where you live and how frequently you use the coffee
maker. You should carry out the descaling in the following way:
1. Open the water tank lid, remove the tank lifting it by the handle and fill it with water and descaling product. (The ratio
of water to descaler should be 4:1, information about this can be found in the descaling product’s instructions for use).
Please use a domestic descaler. You can use vinegar in lieu of descaler. You should fill the tank to the maximum level
with the mixture. Replace the water tank in the coffee maker and close the lid.
2. Place a cup on the removable grid and make sure that it is aligned with the coffee nozzle.
3. Do not place a coffee bag in the coffee preparation area.
4. Plug the power cable into the mains electricity supply. Push the On/Off button and the red light will blink showing that
the appliance is in pre-heating mode. When the red light stops blinking pre-heating is complete. Press the one cup
button or the two cup button.
5. After filtering the equivalent of a cup of coffee, that is to say when the blue light has gone out, unplug the appliance
after pressing the on/off button once.
6. Leave the appliance like that for 15 minutes.
7. Switch on the appliance by pressing the On/Off button again, and press the one cup or two cup button until the two
blue lights blink. This means that the water tank is completely empty.
8. Switch on the coffee machine and rinse it with water, making the water circulate through the circuits at least three
times.
TIPS FOR MAKING DELICIOUSLY FLAVOURED COFFEE
1. It is essential to have a clean coffee machine to be able to make delicious coffee. Clean the machine regularly as
specified in the section “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE”.
