Issue Solution
eC level not within limit (see Maintaining water Quality ) Add fertilizer if eC is less than 1.5 above baseline
Add fresh water if eC is higher than 2.5
pH level not within limit (see Maintaining water Quality ) Add pHDown if pH is above 7.0
Add fresh water if pH is below 5.5
yellowing leaves (indicates lack of nutrients) Check and adjust pH and eC levels (see Maintaining water Quality )
bad odor (indicates contamination) Check for sick or decaying plants and remove immediately
Add a small amount of food-grade hydrogen peroxide or a tablet of chlorine to the water
Empty water from the reservoir, clean it thoroughly, and refill (see Filling Reservoir with water )
