overload the combustion chamber.
The recommended amount of wood is indicated in the
technical data table.
It is absolutely prohibited to use any kind of coal, wood
treated with protective substances, cardboard or paper
(use only for lighting).
It is prohibited to use the wood insert as an
incinerator. Burning of waste is prohibited in
compliance with laws concerning the emission of
gases. Combusted gases deriving from combustion

7.2 LIGHTING
• Clean
the
¿
replace from any ash residues;
•
completely open the primary air adjuster (
¿
g.6.2 a/b);
• open
the
¿
re door;
•
carefully place the wood pieces inside the combustion
chamber;
•
place a natural
¿
re starter on the stack;
•
add some crossed
¿
ne wood sticks;
•
light up the
¿
re starter from the top
• close
the
¿
re door
•
keep the air vent opened to ensure a high bright
À
ame
•
slightly close the air vent only when proper grill base
is ensured.
7.3
RELOADING THE FUEL
To load fuel inside the machine while it is running, follow
the procedure below:
• Open
the
¿
re door slowly to prevent the creation of
an air gap inside the
¿
replace that would cause the
smoke to escape in the environment (based on the
draught of the fume exhaust duct).
• Reload
the
¿
replace with fuel and then close the
¿
re door.
Avoid overheating the stove by loading an excessive
amount of fuel.
Insert the fuel only when the grill bases are formed
DQGWKHÀDPHLVORZ
The stove is provided with a bypass valve that favours
smoke transfer in the fume exhaust duct, minimizing the
smoke puffs in the environment

COMMISSIONING AND USING THE
APPLIANCE
The door should be opened gradually so the smoke can
be drawn up the
À
ue and not in the room. When lighting
the
¿
replace, and until it reaches the right temperature,
it should burn for a few minutes with the door ajar so that
the condensation that forms on the glass can evaporate.
Once the
¿
re is burning well, close the door to optimise
yield and consequently, wood consumption.
7.1
LIGHTING FOR THE FIRST TIME
•
Check that all moving parts are suitably placed and the
air control valve and smoke diaphragm work properly.
The
¿
rst lighting (after the installation or at the beginning
of the season) must be made with reduced loads (~ 1
kg/h) keeping the device on for at least 4 hours at low
rate. Proceed with these feed rates for at least three days
before using the appliance at its full capacity. This will
allow for the evaporation of any moisture accumulated
in the refractory elements when not used.
• Light
the
¿
re using old and
¿
nely chopped wood so that
the
À
ame develops as much as possible. Once the
¿
re
is going well you can use larger pieces of wood provided
they are dry.
The
¿
rst time you light the
¿
replace smoke and unpleasant
odours might form and escape due to the complete drying
of some of the materials used. This phenomenon will
gradually disappear.
•
FLUE DRAUGHT
-
•
Never use alcohol, petrol, kerosene or other liquid fuels
to light the
¿
re. Keep these substances away from the
¿
re. Do not use petrol or chemical origin
¿
re-lighters
as they can seriously damage the walls of the
¿
rebox.
Only use ecological
¿
re lighting aids.
Do not touch the painted parts during the
¿
rst lightings to
avoid damaging the paint
¿
nish.
• During
the
¿
rst lightings, we recommend that you keep the
premises well ventilated.
7.1.1 TYPE OF FUEL
The normative reference for fuel is UNI ISO 17225-1
“forest logs”.
The wood insert is to be fed preferably with mature beech
or birch wood or with lignite briquettes 25 or 33 cm.
Humidity must not exceed 25%.
Each type of wood has different characteristics that also
in
À
uence combustion yield.
Use of pine-wood (pine,
¿
r) is not recommended as it
contains high quantities of resin substances that quickly
clog the
À
ue.
It is forbidden to burn: pieces of bark, wood treated with
varnish, pressed wood panels, coal, plastic materials; in
this case, the guarantee on the wood insert is no more
valid.
The declared nominal yield of the chimney is obtained
by burning the right quantity of wood, making sure not to
