Can you hear only
mono sound?
First, check that the program is likely to have
stereo sound (an old movie, for example, may
not be in stereo).
Check that the audio cables are securely and
correctly connected to the left and right RCA
jacks.
If your TV is mono, you will need to connect a
stereo audio amplifier and speakers to your
stereo VCR (or home terminal, as appropriate)
in order to hear stereo sound. This is also the
case if you have a stereo TV that has only an
RF input.
Note that if the system is connected only by
RF coaxial cables (as shown on page 11) then
it can deliver only mono sound.

The bypass feature may be turned on. Press the
BYPASS button on your remote control to turn
the feature OFF (make sure the word BYPASS is
not lighted on the front panel).
