Check for any fuel leaks, loose fittings and damaged main parts, especially the
handle’s fixture and the fitting of the guide bar. If defects are found, these must first
be repaired before you can use the chainsaw again.
Periodic maintenance
Cylinder’s radiator fins
Clogging between the cooling fins will cause the engine to overheat.
Inspect and clean the fins after having removed the air filter and cylinder
cover. Once the cover has been re-fitted, ensure that the contact leads
and packing seal are correctly in place.
NOTICE: Ensure that you block the air intake with your hand.
Fuel filter
1)
Use a wire hook and remove the filter from the filling hole.
2)
Remove the filter and wash using petrol or replace the filter
if necessary.
NOTICE:
•
Once the filter has been removed, use a clamp to hold the end of the suction
hose.
•
Once the filter has been inserted again, exercise caution to ensure that fibre
from the filter or dust does not enter the suction hose.
Oil container
Use a wire hook to remove the filter from the filling hole
and clean with petrol. Once it is re-inserted in the tank,
ensure that it sits in the front right corner. Also clean the
inside of the tank.
