1.
The H and L needle can only be turned to a limited degree as shown:
H needle: -1/4 - -1/4
L needle: -1/4 - -1/4
2.
Start the engine and let it run in idle for a few minutes.
3.
Turn the idle speed screw anticlockwise, so that the chain does not operate. If the idle
speed is too low, turn clockwise.
4.
Carry out a test cut with the chainsaw and adjust the H needle for the best cutting
power, not for max. speed.
Chain brake
This chainsaw is equipped with an automatic chain brake that stops the rotation of
the chain if there is kickback. The brake activates automatically by inertia force, which
is affected by the weight in the release lever.
This brake can also be operated manually by moving the
release lever forward. To release the brake, pull the
release lever back until you hear a click.
WARNING
Always inspect the brake’s function when carrying out the daily
inspection of the equipment.
How to check the brake’s function
1.
Turn-off the engine.
2.
Hold the chainsaw in the horizontal position and let go of the
front handle and let the guide bar tip touch a stump or piece of
wood and see the chain brake activate. The function level
depends on the guide bar’s size.
If the brake is not working, it must be inspected and repaired if necessary.
If the engine continues to run at an excessive speed with the brake engaged, the
coupling will become hot and may cause problems. If the brake is engaged during
sawing, you must immediately release the throttle to stop the engine.
Stopping the engine
1.
Release the throttle and let the engine run in idle for a couple of minutes.
2.
Set the switch to the "0" (STOP) position.
