Features and Intended Use
Mouldable hydrocolloid rings are used to protect the skin around the stoma and help create a more even surface for attaching your
pouch/appliance.
The rings provide a secure fit for the pouch by filling up crevices and folds and by covering the skin around the stoma with a mouldable
ring, the skin is very well protected against aggressive output, minimising the risk of irritation.
The skin protection rings are mouldable and can be adapted to different types and sizes of stomas. The rings are packed in a clam pack.
Materials/Ingredients
Polyisobutylene, carboxymethylcellulose, pectin, glycerine.
Application
•
Clean and dry the skin area around the stoma.
•
Peel off the protective backing materials from the washer.
•
Mould the washer into the required shape and size by pulling the edges of it with your forefinger and thumb.
•
Position the washer over the stoma and press gently to adhere the washer onto your skin.
•
Take your ostomy appliance and position the hydrocolloid flange over the stoma and over the surrounding washer.
•
Press all round the hydrocolloid gently to adhere the flange to both the washer and skin underneath.
•
Your pouch/appliance should now be positioned correctly with the washer underneath providing a secure seal.
Disposal of the device after use
Remove the product and dispose of it in the trash. Do not flush your used product down the toilet because this will block your sewage
system.
Warnings and Precautions

Each product is for single use only. Do not re-use. Re-use can lead to cross-contamination.

Use only as directed by your healthcare professional.
•
Read the instructions prior to use.
•
Discontinue use and contact your healthcare professional if you experience any allergic reactions or problems when using the
product.
•
For external use only.
•
Never apply to an open wound.
Contraindications
These devices should not be used by anyone with a known sensitivity to the materials or ingredients listed in the section
‘Materials/Ingredients’.
Storage conditions
It is best to store your products in a cool dry place with a guidance of temperature from 0°C to 27°C as is noted on the product label.
Serious Incidents
Should a serious incident arise as a result of using the product please report this immediately to the manufacturer and the Competent
Authority in the country where you reside.
Shelf life
Use by expiry date printed on the label.

Eigenschaften und Verwendungszweck
Formbare Hydrokolloid-Ringe werden verwendet um eine gleichmäßigere Oberfläche zu erschaffen um die Stomaumgebende Haut.

Die Ringe werden in einer Blisterpackung verpackt.
