OTDR MODE

TEST PROCEDURES

OTDR MODE

Previously stored traces can be loaded from memory for later on-screen analysis.

The STORED TRACE menu may be accessed from the Function Options menu on the

trace screen by pressing

.

moves the cursor up and down in the list of stored traces

return to the previous screen

view detailed information about the selected item

accesses context-sensitive help

loads the currently selected fiber trace into the trace screen

allows the user to overlay a previously stored trace on top of the currently loaded trace. Only one trace can be

overlaid at a time, and the overlay trace is denoted by a dark arrow to the right of the trace information. Press this
button again to clear the overlay status

gives the user the option: 1) to delete the currently selected fiber trace; 2) to not delete the selected trace; 3) to
delete all traces; or 4) delete only traces that have been previously downloaded (see TRACE DOWNLOAD
STATUS below)

displays the next page of fiber traces if there are more traces than will fit on the screen

TRACE PARAMETER INFORMATION. Information at the bottom of the STORED TRACES screen shows trace parameter settings
used when the trace was taken:

TRACE DOWNLOAD STATUS. If the trace has already been downloaded to the PC, this trace will be marked by a green
checkmark which appears at the right of each trace.
