Commissioning
Install the screw connections free from tension and use suitable open-
end spanners. Observe the country-specific and local regulations.
Mounting in the dome shaft of an underground tank
You can also install the valve in the
dome shaft of underground tanks
or in an
inspection chamber of the suction pipe. This may be necessary if parts of the
suction pipe in the ground are below the max. fill level in the tank.
NOTICE
Malfunction due to ice formation in the diaphragm chamber
If water in the diaphragm chamber turns to ice, the valve could open
unintentionally. The protection function would be cancelled.

Mount the product with the diaphragm cover facing downwards or
otherwise ensure that no water can enter. The opening in the diaphragm
cover must not be closed.
7. Commissioning
Follow the instructions of the burner manufacturer.

Set the scale to “entlüften” (bleed) by turning the handwheel.

Fill the suction pipe via the burner pump or a separate suction pump.
f
Check the connections for tightness. Eliminate leaks.
If a pressure test of the suction pipe is carried out, a max. test pressure
of 6 bar must not be exceeded.

After filling the suction pipe, set the scale to the required protection
height (see position
5

If necessary, secure the setting against unauthorised adjustment by
sealing it (see Accessories).
