PAPER JAM OR SKEW
Paper skew means that the paper is slanted (not evenly positioned)
between paperfeed tractors.
To clear a paper jam or straighten paper skew:
1. Open the operator access cover and flip forward the blue paper load
lever on the left.
2. Open paperfeed tractor retaining clips.
3. Unseat paper from paperfeed sprocket pins and remove any paper
that may be wrapped around paperfeed tractors.
4. Remove any damaged paper or evenly position skewed paper.
5. Reseat good paper on the paperfeed sprocket pins.
Note: For specific instructions and illustrations on paper loading and
paperfeed tractor adjustments, refer to Paper Installation, Page 3.
6. Close paperfeed tractor flaps.
7. Flip up the blue paper load lever.
8. Before you close the operator access cover, check for the following
problems.
Paper in cabinet misaligned with paperfeed tractors.
Paper restricted or becoming partially torn by box edges.
Paperfeed tractors not spaced properly.
The smooth mylar surface of the forms compressor abraded or ripped.
