APPENDIX 2: UPDATING FIRMWARE MANUALLY
Firmware images are updated over the air, so as long as the device is tuned in, it will automatically
update by receivin
by clicking the Footer Menu of the interface to expand the information bar. If an update is
missed, a user can update the firmware manually.
WARNING: Do not update a device with an earlier firmware version (for example, update a v1.2
device with a v1.1 firmware). This could brick a device.

Download the latest firmware package for the device from
https://archive.outernet.is/images/

2.
Log in as the Superuser.
3.
Go to Settings under the Dropdown Menu.
4.
Under Settings, go to the Update Firmware section.
5.
Choose File
downloaded .pkg file.
6.
Update Firmware
.
7.
Wait for the update to complete.
