The
calibration button allows the GameCycle to be calibrated so as to
customize it closely to match certain users’ abilities. This way, the GameCycle can be
calibrated to fit a particular user’s ability to turn and steer the GameCycle crank arms by
turning the crank arms faster or slower and by tilting to the left and right to different
degrees during calibrations.
For example, if you are only able to turn the crank arms at a slow pace, then on the
first calibration screen, turn the crank arms slowly.
Upon pressing the
button, you will be guided through five steps for custom
calibration of the steering and cranking:
1.
Select appropriate forward crank speed. Turn the crank arms forward at the rate
that you want to be maximum forward speed. When done, press the
button
to continue.
2.
Select appropriate backward crank speed. Turn the crank arms backward at the rate
that you want to be maximum reverse speed. When done, press the
button
to continue.
3.
Select your left steering limit. Tilt the crank arms as far to the left as the user can
comfortably do so. When done, press the
button to continue.
4.
Select your right steering limit. Tilt the crank arms as far to the right as the user can
comfortably do so. When done, press the
button to continue.
5.
Select steering center. Simply let the crank arms center by letting go of the handles.
Wait for a few moments and then press the
button to finish the custom
calibration of your GameCycle.
Setting the Control Type
The
button toggles between the two different control type modes – R/L
and A/B – for the GameCycle. This is only useful if you wish to manually use advanced
games with the GameCycle and forego using the preprogrammed settings for
automatic-start capabilities.
