Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
■
Always place the device on a dry, level,
fi
rm and heat-resistant surface..
■
Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others
may become caught and pull the device down.
■
The device should only be used if it is correctly assembled! Before each use, check
whether the pan, the baking tray, the
fi
lter compartment and the
fi
lter are inserted
correctly and whether the water tank is
fi
lled correctly!
■
Pay attention to the
fi
ll levels (i.e. the MIN and MAX markings) of the water tank! Fill
the water tank at least up to the MIN marking and no higher than the MAX marking!
■
Never use the coffee machine without water in the water tank.
■
You should never pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use water
to make coffee!
■
Do not over
fi
ll the coffee
fi
lters.
■
Never use the device without a suitable container below the coffee outlet.
■
Never spray cold water onto the glass door of the device during or immediately after
use. The glass might shatter.
■
Always keep the glass door closed when the oven is in use.
■
Do not place any heavy objects on the open glass door or the device.
■
Always place the hot baking tray, the hot pan or the hot coffee jug down on a heat-
resistant surface.
■
Make sure that no food comes into contact with the heating elements. However, if
food should bake onto a heating element, pull out the mains plug and let the de-
vice cool down completely before removing it. Never use sharp or pointy objects like
knives or forks to do this.
■
Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling
fi
lm or in plastic bags into / onto the
device.
■
Use only the accessories included in the items supplied or recommended by the
manufacturer.
■
Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising
steam could cause damage to them!
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, wide temperature variations,
moisture, wet conditions or direct sunlight.
■
Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These can
damage the surface.
Notes on Hygiene
■
There may still be some production residues on the device and the accessories. To
avoid harmful effects to your health, clean the device and all accessories before you
use them for the
fi
rst time. It is essential that you follow the cleaning instructions in
the "Before Initial Use" and "Care and Storage” chapters.
■
Only ever use fresh drinking water. Do not use any water that comes from a bath,
wash basin or other containers.
■
Keep the device clean.
