6.7 Batteries
NOTICE
Risk of damage to electronics due to short circuit.
Al-
ways use insulated tools when doing any maintenance
work on the batteries. Ensure correct polarity is used
when connecting the battery cables.
INFORMATION
Before doing any maintenance work on the batteries,
please read the warnings thoroughly!
The ParaGolfer is equipped with two rechargeable 12 V gel
batteries with a capacity of 94 Ah (C5). The batteries are lo-
cated underneath the seat, centred in the chassis of the
ParaGolfer. They are maintenance-free.
6.7.1 Charging
WARNING
Risk of injury due to explosive gases.
Explosive gases
can develop while the batteries are charging. The follow-
ing safety instructions must be followed under all circum-
stances:
Ensure sufficient ventilation when charging the batter-
ies in closed rooms.
Smoking and fire are not permitted.
Sparks must be avoided.
Do not cover the air vents in the trim.
NOTICE
Battery damage due to deep discharge.
Driving for long-
er periods with low battery charge level will result in deep
discharge and damage to the battery. There is a risk that
the power wheelchair may stop due to zero battery charge
level and bring the user into a dangerous situation.
