14.2.6 Checking the mobility of the joint unit
1) Check the mobility of the joint unit by moving the arm bars up and down, noting the resistance
and tension of the joint unit.
2) Optional: Disengage the expanders (see the steps in the "Installation", "Adjusting the
expanders" section and perform them in the reverse sequence (see Page 14)).

14.2.7 Checking the connection of the arm shell on the bar
1) Rotate the arm shell by hand in the arm bar mounting and check its mobility in the mounting.
2) Remove soiling with a cloth in case of stiffness.

14.2.8 Inspecting the energy store
1) Apply tension to the energy store (by flexing the joint unit) while the product is not being worn.
Make sure the rotation stop is closed while doing so.
2) Check the resistance in the energy store.

The expander retracts to its position on its own, so the joint piece is pushed against the rota­
tion stop.

14.2.9 Inspecting the screw connections
Required materials:
2.5 mm, 3 mm Allen wrenches, T20 Torx wrench, torque wrench
(e.g. 710D21)
1) Check the screw connections while the product is not being worn.
2) Tighten to the tightening torque.

14.3 Repair

Send the product to the manufacturer for repair.
The tension of all expanders has to be released prior to being returned to the manufacturer. Com­
plete the steps in the chapter "Adjusting the expanders" in the reverse sequence.
