Mode C

Stance function

– hints for walking downstairs

•

If the user is standing on a step with a flexed knee joint,
stance function can be activated / will be activated

•

As soon as a step is taken, stance function is deactivated

•

The initial feeling of a locked knee joint can lead to
insecurity

Exercise

•

Stand on a step board and activate the stance function

•

Out of stance function: take a step down

–

If necessary, the therapist can facilitate knee flexion of
the prosthesis

Avoid residual limb extension!
