7 Use
7.1 Getting in and transferring
CAUTION
Incorrect handling when getting in
Falling, tipping due to incorrect handling
f
Always get into the wheelchair from the front or from the side if possible�
f
Please note that the wheelchair does not have a wheel lock� Before getting into/out of the wheelchair, always
secure it against rolling away�
To get into the wheelchair, the side panels or frame tubes can be used as supports�
7.2 Settings
WARNING
Incorrect settings
Risk of falling, tipping over or improper user posture due to incorrect settings

Settings may only be changed by qualified personnel unless otherwise prescribed�
f
Before testing setting changes with the user seated, all hook-and-loop connections must be firmly fastened and
all screw connections must be firmly tightened�
f
Check the product for safety and functionality after changing the settings�
CAUTION
Unsecured screw connections
Pinching, crushing, tipping over, falling of user due to assembly errors
f
After all adjusting/readjusting work, retighten the mounting screws/nuts firmly� Observe any torque settings
which may be specified�
f
Any time you loosen a screw connection with thread lock, replace it with a new screw connection with thread
lock or secure the old screw connection with medium strength thread locker (e�g� Loctite® 241)�
CAUTION
Missing cover caps on screw connections
Blows, cuts on sharp ends of screw connections
f
Cover caps must be removed for installation tasks on screw connections� Reinstall the cover caps on the ends
of the screw connections after all installation tasks�
