6.3 Setting the Wheel Camber – Only Start M5 Comfort

TherearwheeladaptersoftheStartM5Comfortallowfordifferentcamberanglesettingsof

therearwheels(0°and2.5°).Thegreaterthenegativecamberangleoftherearwheels,the

moremanoeuvrablethewheelchairbecomes(Fig.45).
Therearwheeladapteritselfhasawheelcamberof0°or2.5°,dependingonthearrangement

ofthewedge-shapedcamberwashers.Thewheelcambercanbechangedbyturninground

themountedcamberwashers.Proceedasfollows:
Firstdisassemblethenutsontherearwheelfitting.

Setting the rear wheel camber to 0°:

Ifapplicable,removethecamberwasherfromtheinside

oftherearwheeladapterandplaceitagainstthewasherontheoutsideoftheadaptersuch

thatthethinnersideofthewasherisnexttothethickersideoftheotherwasher(Fig.46).

Setting the rear wheel camber to 2.5°:

Positionthecamberwasherwiththethinnersidepoint-

ingupwardsintothedesiredengagingposition(Fig.47)ontheoutsideoftherearwheeladapter.

Placethesecondcamberwasherwiththethickersidepointingupwardsintothecorresponding

engagingpositionontheinsideoftherearwheeladapter.
