The welding process

DTX 1800/1801 TIG

8. The welding process

When the device turns on, all signals are shown in the display for about 2 seconds. In

addition you can see the selected welding method on the display.

8.1 Welding with electrodes MMA (Arc)

1. Please press the button "MODE" until the LED turns on - welding with electrode

2. On the display the word "ARC" flashes for 2 seconds

3. It lights up the LED diode for the set voltage

4. It lights up the LED diode "switch on the arc enable”

5. It lights up the LED diode for the welding current

6. Regulation of the welding current. With the potentiometer, the welding current can be

regulated and is shown on the display.

7. Function "HOT": Is already set at the start for an optimal welding result

8. Function "ARC-FORCE": Is automatically set to 35%

Additional features of the DTX 1801 TIG

1. Activation and regulation of the frequency of the pulse in the ARC MODE: By pressing the

button "PULSE" the function "pulse" is enabled. The signal LED “pulse” light up and the

display shows the letters "P.Fr."

2. Regulation of the frequency of the pulse: By pressing the button "PULSE" the LED diode

“pulse” lights up and the display shows the letters "P.Fr.". With the potentiometer, the desired

welding value from 10% to 90% can be set.

3. Regulation of the pulse-duty-cycle: By re-pressing the button "PULSE" the letters "DUT" is

shown on the display. With the potentiometer, the desired welding value can be set from

10% to 90%.

4. Regulation of the “pulse base current”: Please press the button "FUNCTION" until the LED

for the basic current lights up. The display flashes and shows the letters "l2". With the

potentiometer, the base current value from 10% to 90% can be set.

To turn the pulse function off, press the button "PULSE" for about 2 seconds!
