8. TROUBLESHOOTING

The Cooler Is Turned Off (as stated) Turn cooler on (Section 3.3.2) and allow
at least 12 hours for detector to fully cool.
Monitor status according to
Section 3.4.2.1.
Internal System Error Internal error Contact ORTEC.
Error Retrieving Health Internal error Contact ORTEC.
Error Retrieving Data Internal error Contact ORTEC.
Bias Voltage Error Bias voltage is outside of acceptable
limits Contact ORTEC.
Low Battery! Available battery time is critically
low Connect to external power. If battery
exhausts during a survey, the current
survey data set could be lost.
Storage is Low! Data card is nearly full End the current survey, return to Home
screen, and insert memory card with
available storage space; or transfer files to
PC (Chapter 7), then use Clear Data
command to permanently delete all data
files from SD card (Section A.4).
Data Card Full/Missing! Data card is full or has been
removed From Home screen, insert memory card
with available storage space. If the amber
indicator does not clear, see Section 8.7.
+12 Volt Error +12 V power supply voltage is
outside of acceptable limits Contact ORTEC.

Ion Pump Error Ion pump voltage is outside of
acceptable limits Contact ORTEC.
New Background Required Background spectrum is out of date Perform background check
(Section 3.3.4).
