To set the range of motion in any of the
three Plane of Motions options:
– Press and rotate the limit stops (7) to
the prescribed range of motion on the
goniometer. (fig. 7)
Dynamic Traction Mode:
Place the Limit Stops just outside the
patients range.
Select the LOW force setting on the
hand controller.
The Hand Controller is equipped with
two Operating Force Settings as indi-
cated with 1 and 2 at the Power Switch
(16). If you turn the switch to 1, the
device operates with 50 % drive force,
on 2 the device operates with the full
drive force.
To begin the treatment, set the Power
Switch on the required force setting.

– Always unplug the device before
cleaning.
– The ARTROMOT ® -H can be wiped
clean with disinfectant and thus fulfills
the hygienic requirements for medical
equipment.
– Only wipe the motion device itself with
a moist cloth.
– Protect the motion device from inten-
sive UV light (sunlight).
Important!
Check all of the components at least
once a year for damage and loose
connections. Damaged or worn out
parts must be exchanged for original
spare parts immediately by authorized
experts.
The following procedure should be
performed
annually:
Drive belt :
– Replace drive belt
Bevel Gear and Stop Assembly:
– Lubricate the Bevel Gears with white
lithium grease.
– Inspect the Bevel Gear and Stop As-
sembly.
– Ensure the Stop and Stop Screw are
fully and securely attached to the Bevel
Gear. Replace the entire Bevel gear and
Stop assembly if the screw moves.
Fasteners:
– Refer to the ARTROMOT ® -H Service
Manual Drawing. Ensure that the
fasteners numbered items 13, 23 and
25 are secure.
Stop Ring Assembly:
– Refer to the (separate available) Dra-
wing and inspect the Stop Ring Assem-
bly. Examine the Stop Assemblies and
the Stop Ring for signs of wear. Re-
place all worn components.
The following procedure should be
performed
bi-annually:
Bevel Gear and Stop Assembly:
– Replace the Bevel gear and Stop
Assembly every two years.
Warranty:
2 years (mechanical parts)
2 years (electronics)
