2.3  Bypass Technology 

When  a  device  connected  to  other  devices  through  a  switch  without  bypass  function,  the 

device will lose connection if he switch loses power as traffic will not be able to flow through the 

link (as shown in the figure below). 

 

 

Switches  with  bypass  functions  such  as  the  TRGPS-9084GT-M12X-BP2-MV  provide  one  or 

more sets of bypass ports that ensure constant network connectivity during power failure.
