PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES WHAT TO DO
You are not sure how much drug is
left in the Cartridge and you do not
want to start an injection and then
find out that there is not enough
drug. Have you kept good records of your
doses? Write down every injection you have taken from the
Follistim
® AQ Cartridge. Follow the instructions on
the Follistim ® AQ Cartridge label. Talk to your
healthcare professional if you are concerned.
The BD Micro-Fine™ Pen Needle
is left on the Follistim Pen™. Have you missed any of the
instructions? Dispose of the BD Micro-Fine™ Pen Needle in
a properly secured container as instructed by
your healthcare professional. Change to a new
Follistim
® AQ Cartridge, and a new BD Micro-Fine™
Pen Needle.

The Pen Body will not screw
tightly into the Cartridge Holder. Is something in the way? Take out the Follistim ® AQ Cartridge and check the
Cartridge Holder to see if anything is in the way. If
nothing is there, carefully repeat the steps on page 4.
You cannot get the Cartridge out of
the Follistim Pen™. Is the BD Micro-Fine™ Pen Needle
attached? Remove the BD Micro-Fine™ Pen Needle from the
Follistim Pen™ and dispose of properly (See page
12). Unscrew the Cartridge Holder from the Pen
Body and take out the cartridge (See page 13).
Some of the drug is dripping out of
the BD Micro-Fine™ Pen Needle
when you withdraw it out of your skin. Did you take the BD Micro-Fine™ Pen
Needle out of your skin too soon? Always wait 5 seconds after you push the Injection
Button before you withdraw the BD Micro-Fine™
Pen Needle from your skin.
