5.2.6 How to adjust each cable
Drive clutch cable
・
Adjust the position of the adjust nut when:
-The machine stops driving
…Tighten the cable
-The machine doesn’t stop immediately, or can’t move
the machine manually.
…Loosen the cable
Main clutch cable
・
Adjust the position of the adjust nut when:
-The belt slips when the main clutch lever is ON
position and the driving clutch lever is ON position.
…Tighten the cable
-The belt rotates when the main clutch lever is OFF
position.
…Loosen the cable
Speed change cable
・
Adjust the position of the adjust nut when:
-If the speed change lever won’t stay in ”R” position, when
the machine takes load.
… Tighten the speed change cable
-If the speed change lever won’t stay in 2

speed
position, when the machine takes load. Or the speed
change lever won’t move to “R” position.
… Loosen the speed change cable
* Tension adjustment tips: Take out the transmission cover and check the length of the speed
change shaft when the speed change lever is in 2
n d
speed position. It’s
at the proper tension if there is 0-1mm space between speed change
arm and shaft.
Tighten: move the adjust nut to the direction of an arrow.
Loosen: move the adjust nut to the direction of an arrow
