Section 2: Orchid Utilities
The command line options are as follows:
C:\SW32 /? - A listing of options and syntax
C:\SW32 /C - Change the hardware setup values
C:\SW32 /S - Status of the current configuration
C:\SW32 /V:x - Sets the volume, where x is 0 to 31
C:\SW32 - Reinitializes the hardware with the
last saved settings
Synthesis Algorithms
The SoundWave 32Pro comes with synthesis algo-
rithms for different emulation modes and superior
sound quality. The algorithms include the follow-
ing:
GENMID.LD General MIDI Synthesizer
3DFM.LD Q-Sound Algorithm
The synthesis algorithms can be executed from the
DOS prompt. For example, to set up Q-Sound to
run in a DOS game, change to the SWAVE32
subdirectory and type the following:
C:\SW32 /C
Highlight the Emulation Mode option and select
Q-Sound. The Q-Sound synthesis algorithm adds
three dimensional virtual audio sound to FM mu-
sic synthesis for games.
