CONVECTION HEATER HNC-2012

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

PRINCIPLES OF SAFE OPERATION

When using electrical equipment always follow basic safety
rules, especially those listed below:

•   This  equipment  is  not  intended  to  be  used  by  persons

(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental abilities or a person with no experience or
knowledge, unless it is done under supervision or in
accordance with the instruction manual, handed over

by  persons  responsible  for  their  safety.  Make  sure  that

children do not play with the equipment!

•   The  convection  heater  should  only  be  used  as  intended

and in accordance with these instructions.

•   Before  use,  the  feet  should  be  assembled  in  indicated

places (do not use the device without assembled feet).

•   Before switching on the heater read the manual carefully

(keep the instructions for future reference).

•   Before connecting the unit to the power supply check if

the casing and power cable are not damaged. Should
the device have any visible signs of damage or if there is
suspicion that it might be damaged in an invisible manner

(e.g. if device dropped), it cannot be used. Do not use the
device  when  defective  or  damaged.  Regularly  check  the

device to see if there is no damage to the power cord.

•   In the case of any damage to the heater or the power cord,

the convection heater should be definitely left for repair in
a service shop. Such a device cannot be used. You should
not make repairs or exchange the power cord on your
own.

•   Before connecting the power cord into the power network,

check whether the rated voltage specified on the device is
consistent with the mains voltage (the convection heater

can be powered only with AC 230 V, 50 Hz, through socket

with pin/earth pin).

•   Other equipment should not be connected to the socket

with  the  convection  heater.  Do  not  use  distributors,

extension cords or remotely controlled devices (systems),
time switches, programmers or other devices switching
the heater automatically or semi-automatically.

•   The  convection  heater  should  not  be  placed  directly

below a power socket. Place the convection heater on the
ground (after assembling the feet), on a flat surface in a
stable manner protecting the device from falling.

The device should always operate in the upright position.

The power cord must not come in contact with a damp

or hot surface. It cannot be twisted or placed within the
reach of children. It must be placed away from the heater’s

casing (which is emitting heat). The power cord must
neither be dragged through sharp edges, nor left to jam.

•   Do  not  use  the  heater  in  the  room  with  explosive  gas,

flammable adhesives, solvents and similar substances.
There are parts inside the device that can be hot during
operation, or that may cause sparking.

•   The  convection  heater  must  not  be  immersed  in  water

or any other liquid. Do not expose the device to weather
conditions  (rain,  sun...).  Do  not  use  the  equipment  in  an

open area, near a bathtub, shower, pool or other water

sources.  Do  not  use  in  wet  or  damp  environment.  The

device must be protected against ingress of water and

other fluids. This may cause electric shock. Do not operate

the device with wet or damp hands.

•   Do  not  use  the  heater  near  furniture,  bedding,  clothes,

paper, curtains and other combustible material due to the
risk of those objects getting ignited from the heaters (the
distance between the convection heater and such objects
cannot be less than 100 cm).

•   Do not use the heater in a room with an area of less than

4 m

2

. The device cannot be installed nor used inside

vehicles.

•   Do not cover the convection heater. Do not cover, block

or obstruct air inlet and air outlet grilles. Do not obstruct

airflow to the unit or the outflow of hot air. This may cause
overheating of the device or fire.

•   Do  not  insert  fingers  or  other  objects  in  the  grid  of  the

device (when the heater is both turned on or off).

•   Before  changing  the  location  of  the  convection  heater,

set the heating and ventilation switch to “0” position, the

thermostat knob to „Min” and disconnect the device from

the power source.

•  Do not leave the heater unattended if switched on.
•   Do  not  leave  children  or  pets  unattended  near  the

appliance (children and pets are not allowed to touch or

play  with  the  convection  heater.  During  operation  the

temperature in the outlet opening is very high).

•   When  leaving  the  house,  make  sure  to  disconnect  the

convection heater from the power source (set the heating/
ventilation switch to “0” position, the thermostat knob

to “Min”, remove the plug from the socket). Always unplug

the heater when not used! The plug disconnected by
pulling the power cord.

•   The appliance should be kept clean. Do not allow any objects

to  get  inside  the  device.  Do  not  disassemble  and  open

the device. This may cause electric shock, fire or damage
to the convection heater.

•  This device is intended for home use only.
