4. Adjust the diopter compensation ring of the right eyepiece
⑤ (Fig. 12) until the image of the right eyepiece is clear and
sharp. Repeat the procedure for the left eyepiece.
5. Check the focus of the image for the whole zoom range. It
should be perfectly parfocal (focus is maintained during the
change of magnification).

9.5 Magnification
Select the desired magnification by rotating the zoom knob.
• The microscope body is equipped with a “magnification lock”
function that allows to obtain a precise setting of the desired
magnification. Magnification lock can be activated or deacti -
vated by operating with the provided Allen wrench in the hole

placed in front of the microscope body. (Fig. 13)
9.6 Switching on illumination
1. Set the main switch ① (located on the left side of the base)
to the “I” position to power the base. (Fig. 14)

2. Turn the knob ② (on the right side of the base) to switch
the lighting on/off and to increase/decrease the light intensity.
