Device Wizard
When the Device Wizard function is enabled, VSS will automatically search
for IP cameras in the LAN. Then VSS will add/ delete/ update IP camera sites
all by itself. Users will not need to do any manual setting regarding IP camera
sites. The <DeviceWizard> tab is shown as below.
Next to <DeviceWizard Status>, select <ON>/<OFF> to enable/disable the
Device Wizard function. If the Device Wizard function is enabled, setup white
and black lists via specifying IP range. <Max count of connect fail> allows
users to choose how many times VSS will try to connect an IP camera. After
the specified number of tries and VSS is still unable to connect an IP camera,
IP address of the IP camera will be automatically added to the black list.
When IP cameras are connected via Device Wizard function, VSS will setup
the main stream as H.264/ 1080p/ 4096 bit/s, and the sub stream as H.264/
CIF/ 1024 bit/s.
In the mean time, VSS will automatically fill in username and password of
current login account in <Login Setting> tab. And VSS will be set to auto start
when Windows starts up, auto login, and auto connect devices after login.
In addition, the Circular function in <File Path> tab will automatically be
enabled, and the type will be set as <By Size> with <Threshold> as 2000MB.
