3. Intended use
The SmartNose is a retrofit module for ingo-man
®
plus soap and disinfectant dispensers in
500 ml (E) or 1,000 ml (T) Eurobottle format. It records hand hygiene behaviour fully auto-
matically and continuously.
The device is exclusively designed for battery operation.
The device may only be used indoors.
Ambient conditions:
Never use the appliance in potentially explosive areas.
Only use the appliance in a dustless environment.
Pay attention that the apparatus is only used at a relative air moisture of <90%
(not condensing).
Only use this apparatus at room temperature
Operation of the SmartNose according to the regulations
In order to always guarantee optimum functioning of the dispenser the following must be
observed:
• Mount the SmartNose only to original ingo-man ® plus (E, ELS resp. T, TLS) dispensers.
• When inserting a battery please absolutely pay attention to the correct polarity!
(Reverse polarity protected plug connection)
• The SmartNose may not be located close to radiation-emitting or statically charged
objects.
• Correct installation of the retrofit unit and the magnet holder in the dispenser is required
for proper functioning.

• defects to the appliance caused by mechanical influences or overvoltage

• use for any purpose other than that mentioned in the application
