Email Attachment
Email Attachment allows you to enable or disable the AVI attachment inclusion with alarm event
notifications.
Note
When Email Attachment is enabled, any alarm event will cause the recorder to send a short
AVI video clip from each channel with a connected camera.
ReportStar Setup
ReportStar Setup allows you to configure the ReportStar settings for the recorder.
Note
A network connection with a connection to the internet is needed for ReportStar to function.
Also a ReportStar account is required to view ReportStar information.
Enable ReportStar
To enable ReportStar:
1. Ensure that the EasyDVR recorder is connected to the internet.
2. On your recorder, press
MENU
on the front panel or remote control and go to
NETWORK >
ReportStar Setup
.
3. Set
Enable ReportStar
to
On
.
4. Enter a new numeric
Security Code
to protect against unauthorized users and write it down in the
space provided at the bottom of this document.
Note
It is recommended that the remaining ReportStar settings are left as the default.
5. Select
Send Update to ReportStar
and press
ENTER
.
Note
If you receive an error message it is likely that the internet connection is not set up correctly. Double
check all equipment and settings related to the connection and send the update again.
6. Write down the
MAC ADDRESS
. The MAC Address is required to add the device to ReportStar.
Note
The Serial Number and MAC Address of your recorder are required to add your device to ReportStar.
The Serial Number and MAC Address are noted at the bottom of this document for later reference.
Send Update to ReportStar
The Send Update To ReportStar button will attempt to send a report to ReportStar. This button is used
to verify that ReportStar is configured and working properly. A message will show “ReportStar Update
Completed Successfully” if everything is working correctly.
Security Code
Security Code allows you to create a custom numeric code required to add the recorder to your
ReportStar account. This provides an additional layer of security by preventing unauthorized personnel
from receiving ReportStar information.
Set Daily Update
Set Daily Update allows you to configure the time of day the recorder will send daily information updates
to the ReportStar server.
