I can’t light / underpowered flame
1. Turn your Ooni Gas Burner to the OFF position. Disconnect
the regulator from the propane tank.
2. Reconnect the regulator and ensure a tight fit.
3. Slowly open up the flow at the
propane tank
itself about half
way until you can hear gas.
Don’t open this up fully yet.
4. Return to your Ooni. Push in and very slowly turn the control
knob you can hear gas flowing. Wait 2-3 seconds before you
fully turn to hear the
*click*
of ignition.
5. Keep the control dial pushed in for 5 more seconds.
6. If this fails, turn the Gas Burner back to the
OFF
position and
wait 5 seconds before trying again.
Do not try to reignite
rapidly and in quick succession.
7. Return to your propane tank and open up the gas flow fully.
I can’t see a spark / the gas won’t ignite
Remove the Gas Burner from Ooni Karu
A. 1. Wipe the piezo (ignition tip) clean with a dry paper towel
2. Ensure that the piezo (ignition tip) is 3mm away from the
flame output as pictured:
The flame will not stay alight / The Burner only works if I keep
the control knob pushed in:
Remove the Gas Burner from Ooni Karu
B. Wipe the thermocouple clean with dry paper towels or
use compressed air to remove any soot / debris
C. Hand-tighten clockwise the Flame Safety Device bolt and
give a quarter turn with a wrench to secure. Then follow the
steps in “I can’t light / underpowered flame”
