Performing a linearity test

8. Read the result

The meter will count down from 5 to 1. The result is displayed along with the date, 
time, unit of measure and the linearity solution level.

If mmol/L does not appear with the linearity test result, contact Customer 
Service and/or LifeScan® sales representative.

If the result matches the linearity solution level chosen for the test, the screen will 
prompt you to continue with the linearity test using the same or the next level of 
solution.

NOTE:

 If the result does not match the level of solution you selected for this test, the screen will prompt 

you to retest using the same solution level or press 

 and the result will be tagged with the solution 

that was selected. If blood is applied to the test strip during a linearity test, a warning screen will appear 
(see troubleshooting page 87).  Retest with a new strip using the appropriate linearity solution.

If you continue to get linearity results that do not match the level you selected in Step 4, 

Do Not

 use the 

meter, test strips or linearity solution. Contact Customer Service and/or LifeScan® sales representative.
