Preparations for Communications

Setting the IP Address on the Computer with Windows 7 or Windows 10
1.
Open the Control Panel, and select Network and Internet and then Network and Sharing Center.
2.
Select Change adapter settings and then right-click Local Area Connection.
3.
Right-click Local Area Connection and select Properties.
4.
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then click the Properties Button.
5.
Select the Use the following IP address Option, make the following settings, and then click the OK Button.

Host Device Setting Example
IP address : 192.168.1.100
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
This example changes the last part of the IP address of the host device to a value other than 200 (i.e., 1 to 199 or 201to
254). Values of 0 and 255 cannot be used.
6.
Click the OK Button to close the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties Dialog Box.
