5-1-2 NX-series Power Supply-related Units
Precautions for Correct Use
Always use separate power supplies for the Unit power supply and the IO power supply. If you
supply power from the same power supply, noise may cause malfunctions.
The PROFINET Coupler Unit supplies the NX Unit power and IO power to the NX Units in the IO Device
Terminal. The Units that are related to power supply for the NX Series other than the PROFINET Cou-
pler Unit are listed in the following table.

(Cat. No. W523). For information on the most recent lineup of NX Series power sup-
ply-related Units, refer to NX-series catalogs or OMRON websites, or ask your OMRON representative.

This NX Unit provides NX Unit power supply.
This NX Unit is used when the total power consumption of the NX Units in the IO
Device Terminal exceeds the NX Unit power supply capacity of the PROFINET Cou-
pler Unit.
The IO power supply for the Additional NX Unit Power Supply Unit is connected to
the NX Unit on the left through the NX bus connector.
