5.2 Placing the receiver
Place the receiver on a plane surface and put the antenna in a vertical position. For best transmission quality
place the receiver at the height of the microphone and maintain a line-of-sight between the devices. Make
sure the reception is not interfered with objects in the transmission path or other radio transmitters. Avoid
obstacles between the devices such as metal, dense materials, computers or other HF-generating
equipment.
5.3 Connecting the receiver
1 Connect the receiver to the subsequent unit (e.g. mixer, amplifier):
• Use the balanced XLR output for connection to a balanced microphone input.
• Use the unbalanced 6.3 mm jack output for connection to an unbalanced microphone input with the
supplied connection cable.
If the subsequent unit is provided with both connections, the XLR output should be used for an optimum
signal transmission.
2 Finally, connect the power supply unit to the power input of the receiver and the mains plug to a mains
socket. Use the receiver only with the supplied power unit. Always disconnect the mains connector
when you wish to change connections, move the unit to a different place or if it is not used for a longer
period.
6. OPERATION
1 Switch on the receiver with the POWER switch. The power indicator lights up.
2 To switch on the microphone, set the sliding switch to its upper position “ON”. The battery indicator
shortly lights up.
After switching on the microphone, a radio connection to the receiver is set up. The reception indicator
RF on the receiver indicates that a connection exists to the microphone.

Switch on the following audio unit or advance the respective fader on the mixer. Speak into the
microphone and match the output level of the receiver to the input of the following unit with the volume
control. The AF indicator on the receiver lights up when an audio signal from the microphone is
received.
4 To mute the microphone during operation, set the sliding switch to its center position “MUTE”. Then no
sound will be transmitted.
5 To switch off the microphone, set the sliding switch to its lower position “OFF”.
6 After operation, switch off the receiver with the POWER switch. The power indicator extinguishes.
