This user manual describes the rear panel of model 181A MK2 as a reference. Illustrations and features of
the other model are comparable.

Feed-through outputs LINK
Balanced XLR jacks, connected in parallel to
the inputs, to connect another device, e.g. a
further active speaker system.

Signal input INPUT
Balanced XLR inputs for connecting audio
units with line level output (e.g. mixers or
preamplifiers).

Crossover frequency control
For adjusting the upper crossover frequency
(40-250 Hz) of the low-pass filter.

Signal output HIGH PASS OUT
High-pass filtered line output (80 Hz - 18 kHz)
for connecting active top speakers.

Input/limit indicator SIG/LIMIT
Lights up blue as input signal indicator and
red when the signal level is too high; the
limiter will reduce the signal level to protect
the speakers. If this LED lights up red
frequently, reduce the volume of the input
signal accordingly.

Power indicator ON

Level control SUB LEVEL

Ground lift selector switch GND
When engaged, signal ground and housing
ground are separated.

Selector switch SHAPE
To switch on the bass boost.
10 Reversal switch PHASE
Allows switching the phase from 0° to 180°
when multiple speakers are operated in
parallel.
11 Power supply
Used to plug in the supplied power cord.
12 Fuse
Only replace the fuse when the device is
disconnected from mains. Only use fuses of
the same rating and power. The correct fuse
value is specified on the rear panel.
13 Power switch
Turns the device on and off.
