7.3 Tuner
Switch to tuner operation with the button MODE. The display shows the station number last selected and the
corresponding receiving frequency. If a program is transmitted in stereo, the indication
appears in the
display.
7.3.1 Station tuning, storing, and calling
The tuner is able to receive FM and medium wave stations. The FM band is divided into three identical
subbands (F1, F2, F3) and the medium wave band into two (AM1, AM2). In each subband six stations can
be stored, i.e. a total of 18 FM and 6 medium wave stations.
1. Switch to the desired FM or medium wave band with the button BAND.
2. For station tuning, automatic or manual station finding can be used:
• Long actuation of the button
(forwards) or
(reverse) starts automatic station finding. The station
finding stops as soon as a station is found. Start the station finding so many times until the desired
station will be received.
• For manual fine tuning, shortly press the button
or
to increase or reduce the received frequency
step by step (in the FM band by 50 kHz, in the medium wave band by 9 kHz).
3. To store a station, keep the desired station button 1 to 6 pressed until the station number appears on the
right side next to the received frequency.
4. Stations with good reception can also be stored with the automatic station memory. Long actuation of the
button A/PS starts the automatic station memory. The automatic station memory will be running forward
and stop at the next station for 5 seconds. Afterwards, the automatic station memory will be running to
the next station.
Stations will only be stored in the selected band. When 6 stations that can be received are stored in
the memory, automatic station memory closes.
To cancel the automatic station memory, shortly press A/PS. Afterwards, you can keep on listening
to the station.
5. To call a stored station, select the corresponding band with the button BAND and press the station
button of the station.
