6.9 Pitch adjustment
1. With the rotary control PITCH +/– on the player, the playback speed can be adjusted variably up to
±16 %. For this, the control must be activated with the button PITCH on the player (button lights red) or
the button PITCH ON/OFF. Then turn the control PITCH +/– to the left to decrease the pitch and to the
right to increase the pitch. The pitch percentage is indicated in the display.
2. With the buttons PITCH + and – on the remote control, the playback speed can be adjusted in 0.1 %
steps up to ±16 %. For this, the rotary control PITCH +/– on the player must be deactivated. Press the
button – to decrease the and the to increase it. The pitch percentage is indicated in the display.
6.10 Matching the beat between two titles (Pitch Bend)
With the function pitch bend, the beat of the current title can be matched (synchronized) to the beat of a
music piece playing on another player. Thus the rhythm will not be interrupted while crossfading from one
title to another. Unlike the adjustment with the rotary control PITCH +/–, this function will temporarily increase
or decrease a title's speed during playback.
1. First use the rotary control PITCH +/– to adjust the same number of beats (BPM) for both music pieces.
2. Then synchronize the beats of the two music pieces with the button PITCH BEND + and – : As long as
the or – is kept pressed, the title is played faster or slower. As soon as you release the buttons
PITCH BEND + and –, the BPM will automatically return to normal.
6.11 Playing a continuous loop
A section within a title can be repeated as a seamless continuous loop as many times as desired. The loop is
deleted when the next title is selected.
1. During playback, shortly actuate the button IN (button lights orange) when the desired starting point of
the loop is reached.
2. Shortly actuate the button OUT when the desired end point of the loop is reached. The section between
the starting point and the end point of the loop is continuously repeated (the buttons IN and OUT are
flashing).
3. To exit the loop and to continue the title, press the button OUT. The buttons IN and OUT will stop
flashing but will remain on to indicate that a loop has been memorized and is ready to be engaged.
4. To restart the loop, press the button RELOOP. The buttons IN and OUT will be flashing again.
6.12 Selecting repeat functions
With the button REPEAT two repeat functions can be selected:
• first actuation of the button (indication 1): continuous repeat of the selected title
• second actuation of the button (indication A): continuous repeat of all titles of the data carrier
• third actuation of the button: return to normal play
6.13 Selecting random play
To activate random play, press the button
(blue LED lights). The titles are now played in random order.
To return to normal play, press the button once again (LED extinguishes).
