3.2 LED Status Display
1. The power supply is applied to the CMGPS
2. After the initialization of the CMGPS
Typically, after a time period of max. 5 minutes this status is succeeded by the
condition "CMGPS ready for operation" (refer to the following item)

should not be the case, refer to section 7 ”Faults, Possible Causes, Remedies”.
3. CMGPS is ready for operation

This time may increase to up to 20 minutes in cases where the
CMGPS
was either relocated by
several hundred kilometers since the last time it was in use or out of operation for more than
6 months.

All 3 LEDs are lit for about 30 seconds; the GPS
receiver is initialized.

LED "ON" is lit.
LED "Searching/Locked" flashes. The receiver does
not yet receive enough strong satellite signals in
order to put out the synchronization pulse.

Locked
LED "ON" is lit.
LED "Searching/Locked" is lit. The receiver acquires
the necessary number of satellite signals of sufficient
strength and can therefore put out the
synchronization pulse with the unit accuracy.
