6. PROBLEM SOLVING
In case of any serious problem, the user should consult the appropriate technical service for the repair and overhaul of the
machine. This troubleshooting guide is intended to prevent you from going to your technical centre for easy-to-solve solutions.
Problem Solution
Cylinder rod does not move SOLUTION: A, D, E, H, J
Slow speed of the cylinder shaft when extending or retracting SOLUTION: A, B, C, H, I, K, L
Wood does not break or breaks extremely slowly SOLUTION: A, B, C, F, I, K
Engine stalls during splitting SOLUTION: G, L
Engine stalls at low load conditions SOLUTION: D, E, L, M
Posible cause Solution
A- Insufficient oil to pump Check the oil level in the tank
B- Air in oil Check the oil level in the tank
C- Excessive pump inlet vacuum Check that the pump inlet hose is not blocked or kinked.
D- Hydraulic hoses blocked Flush and clean the hydraulic system of the splitter.
E- Control valve blocked Flush and clean the hydraulic system of the splitter.
F- Low control valve setting Adjust the control valve with a pressure gauge
G- Control valve high setting Adjust the control valve with a pressure gauge
H- Control valve damaged Send the control valve for repair
I- Internal leakage of the control valve control valve Send the control valve for repair
J- Internal cylinder leakage Send the control valve for repair
K- Cylinder internally damaged Send the control valve for repair
L- Out of adjustment engine control Adjust the idle control nuts
M- Engine charging during idle mode
Use a shorter trunk (20” or less) to allow the engine to accele -
rate before contact.
