4. Operating instructions
Transporting the log splitter to the working area
For ease of handling, this log splitter is fitted with two wheels. To move the machine, do not tilt it too much and handle it carefully.
Make sure that the oil tank cap is closed.
Note: If using a crane to handle the breaker, use a suitable lifting rope to position the casing and lift the machine carefully. Never
hang the crane hook on the carrying handle.
Starting up
Follow the instructions provided below before starting to ensure sufficient hydraulic oil fill before using the machine.
- Suggested hydraulic oil fill 7.5 litres
- The following grades of oil are suitable for this log splitter:
> USE HYDRAULIC TYPE OIL 46.
Remove the oil tank cap, fill sufficient hydraulic oil and secure firmly before use.
1. The machine must be positioned in a stable and skid-proof manner. Allow enough space around your log splitter so that you
can operate it safely.
2. Make sure that no unauthorised persons (especially children) can approach your working area.
3. Before start-up, all guards and safety devices must be correctly installed. Check whether all screws, bolts, hydraulic couplings
and pipe clamps have been tightened correctly. Before each start-up, always ensure that the hydraulic oil level is sufficient.
4. This machine should never be used when it is in an inoperable condition or in need of maintenance. Before using this breaker,
become familiar with its controls and safety features and their operation.
