Operation
1 – Inlet from compressed air system to
condensate drain
2 – Outlet from condensate drain to
condensate collecting pipeline
Condensate drain consists of two timers, T
on
and T
off
. The T
on
timer regulates the time duration of
discharging. The T
off
timer regulates period between two discharges. At the moment, when the
device is connected to mains power supply, it activates the discharging process, which is noticed by
the sound of valve being open. Condensed water flows through inlet connection 1 and is discharged
through valve and outlet connection 2. After the set time T
on
passes, the valve closes and green LED
light is turned on until the time T
off
passes, when new cycle begins. Cycles repeats continuously.
The time between discharges T
off
can be set from 1/2 to 45 minutes.
The time of discharge T
on
can be set from 1/2 to 10 seconds.
Periods T
on
and T
off
are set by knobs on the
condensate drain device.
After some weeks of operation, we may adjust
the periods. If we notice that only air is
discharged when the test button is pressed, then
the T
off
may be increased. On the other hand, if a
lot of condensate is discharged every time, we
press the test button then the T
off
must be
shortened.
Be aware that amount of condensate is higher in
summer and when compressed air consumption
is increased.
By pressing TEST button valve opens for T
on.
The green LED is lit during off period. But during
discharging, it is switched off.
